Our story.

After years of working across agencies, in-house teams, and as a content creator, our founder Robyn spotted a gap in the way marketing support was being provided. Current Creative was built to bridge that gap, bringing strategy, content, and social storytelling together to help conscious retail and hospitality brands communicate their story thoughtfully and consistently.

Robyns' journey into marketing began at university, while studying Fashion Buying with Marketing. For her dissertation's primary research, she started a blog as a social experiment, and it sparked a passion that shaped her career. After years of working in-house, agency-side, and freelancing as a content creator, Robyn brought everything she’d learned together to launch Current Creative.

Now, we help brands cut through the noise and focus on what really matters. From managing budgets and shaping strategy to getting hands-on with content creation, production, and styling, we cover the full spectrum, combining strategic insight with practical execution. With experience across influencer marketing, content creation, and marketing planning, we offer a 360° approach that delivers results.

From London city to the Cornish coast

Fresh out of University with a First-Class degree in Fashion Buying and Marketing, Robyn moved to London and started her career in fashion buying, working for both River Island and M&S. 

She'd always loved fashion, but the pull to work in marketing never left. So, she switched paths and dove into the world of influencer marketing, working with two London-based marketing agencies. By trading product samples for campaign briefs, she negotiated collaborations, managed campaigns, handled contracts, and analysed performance.

As much as Robyn loved the work, the city pace was relentless. So five years later, she found herself craving space, and more specifically, the Cornish coast.

FOR A LIFE OF SEA DIPS, SURFING AND STRATEGY

In May 2023, Robyn packed up her flat, her life, and Bruce (her marketing assistant/cat), and headed to a place where she didn’t know a single person. Robyn had always dreamed of coastal living, but didn't fully believe it would happen until she was standing outside her new flat. 

Robyns' first two years in Cornwall were spent as the Marketing Manager for Red Hotels, home to Scarlet Hotel, Bedruthan Hotel, and Create Cornwall. Leading marketing strategies that spanned everything from social, email, print, PR, and brand partnerships.

After years of crafting campaigns for other brands, Robyn set out to make marketing clear and accessible for businesses of all sizes.

Current Creative is a boutique marketing studio built to help conscious brands stay current and confident in their strategy.

Robyn wanted to build a space that does things differently. We combine big-agency strategy with small-studio warmth and work with a trusted team of creative freelancers whenever your brand needs extra expertise.
